GIWA FC DARE LMC


Will Giwa football club dare the organiser of Nigeria Professional Football League by boycotting the Wednesday game against Enyimba int’l FC of Aba has they did against Akwa United and Wikki Tourists.

If the team refuse to show up in ilorin, their make shift home ground since the ban on the club after the game against Rangers int’l in Jos due to crowd encroachment, it means the league organiser will have to kick them out of the league as stipulated in the framework and rules for the 2015/16 season, due to them not honouring three matches cumulatively.

If the team is kicked out of the league for the stipulated offence, it means all games played and unplayed will be cancelled and such will surely have adverse effect on the exact winner of the prestigious Nigeria Professional Football League.

Failure to Honour Matches

13.25. Any club that fails to honour its fixture obligation without any reason acceptable to the LMC may be fined up to the sum of N10,000,000.00(Ten Million Naira only) payable to the LMC in addition to all expenses incurred by the home team within fourteen (14) days; Provided that where the reason adduced is acceptable to the LMC, the fixture shall be rescheduled, otherwise, in addition to the sanctions above, the erring club shall forfeit 3 point 3 goals arising from the match.

13.26. Any club that refuses to continue with a game for a period up to five (5) minutes in a match or till the expiration of full time of either half of the game or walks-off the pitch in any form of protest against a decision of the referee or otherwise shall be liable to a fine of up to N3,000,000.00 (Three Million Naira only) payable before the club’s next match. In addition, 3 points may be deducted from accruable points of the Club and also 3 points 3 goals shall be credited to the opponent.

13.27. If a club fails to honour two consecutive matches without an acceptable reason to LMC such a club shall be expelled from the League and its matches played and unplayed match shall be cancelled.

13.28. If a Club fails to honour three matches cumulatively within the League season without an acceptable reason to the LMC such a club shall be expelled from the League and its matches played and unplayed match shall be cancelled.

13.29. If a club vehicle breaks down on its way to a match, the club must send an official to the venue of the match to report before the start of the match. The match shall then be played the next day. If the club still fails to show up the club shall be fined Two Million Naira only (N2, 000, 000.00) and the match replayed.
