GIWA FC TAKING LMC FOR A RIDE

With Giwa FC trying to play a fast one on the league fraternity by issuing a letter to the league management board that is saddle with the responsibility of organising the Nigeria professional football league NPFL for the postponement of its tie with Enyimba int’l for the midweek game.

It's now clear and can be said that Giwa FC letter to LMC didn't not meet up with the stipulated 72 hours as stated in the framework and rules for the 2015 / 2016 season because Giwa FC letter was dated 17th May 2016 which is 24 hours to the game.

Below is a caption of what the rules said and also a copy of the said letter written to LMC.

13.10. A Club may, not less than 72 hours before the time fixed for any Match, apply to the LMC to rearrange a fixture and in considering whether to exercise its power to do so the Board shall have regard also to:

13.10.1. the principle that such applications shall not normally be granted in respect of more than 2 League Matches in any one week;

13.10.2. the effect any such rearrangements would have on published football fixture and broadcast arrangements.
