With the Nigeria National League (NNL) finally kicking off after one or two postponement by the board, before 28th May 2016 date was arrived at as the new date.
All have been put in place to have a hitch free 2015 / 2016 season.
This year season will also be played on abridged level as it was played last season due to the lost of period in the league calendar.
The 32 teams participating are divided into 4 groups of 8 teams with only one team from each group to gain promotion at season end.
The season will be unique as referee assessors are introduced for the first time in the lower division.
